Such a wonderful experience with Crys here at cake is a lie. Everything from the booking to the tattoo itself was all so professional and welcoming. The tattoo quality itself was perfect. I couldn’t recommend a place enough! Will absolutely be going back

I was there Thursday night for two tattoos and all day Sunday for cover-up. Everyone at the shop was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. Sasha, my tattoo artist, was a sweetheart. She was patient and gentle. Most importantly, creative and talented. She took my ideas and executed them perfectly. For my cover-up, I had no idea specifically what I wanted. I told her I wanted something girly and feminine, and she totally nailed it with roses. Over all I had a great experience. I will definitely be back and will definitely send people to the shop.

I went to Cake is a Lie Tattoo Parlor in Brooklyn for Pokémon tattoos with my fiancée after seeing Caro's incredible work. We both absolutely loved the studio and the people there. The space is filled with cool video game and pop culture Easter eggs, and it has a cozy, welcoming vibe. Caro was fantastic—so accommodating in letting us both get tattooed on the same day and stay together while we each got our work done. They made sure we loved our sketches and took the time to explain their thought process on what would look best. The whole process was smooth, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. A huge thank you to Caro and the entire team for making this such a great experience. Highly recommend both Caro and Cake is a Lie for all your tattoo needs. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Your one stop shop for cool and fun tattoos! Drip is my go to artist for pixel style work. Stay tuned to the shop social media for community markets, flash specials, movie nights, and video game tournaments. Everyone is super nice and talented, I want to get a tattoo from each of them 🤩

Had my first-ever tattoo done here and it was such a fantastic experience. Shop is clean and staff are super friendly which really helped relieve any pre-tattoo anxieties I had. We talked through my design based on the references I sent with the application, made some minor tweaks, and got right to it. Crys was super patient and allowed plenty of breaks but worked efficiently and professionally. Crys, and all of the staff, really made me feel at ease during the whole session and I absolutely love the end result (3 months healed as shown). 100% recommend to anyone looking for a welcoming vibe and amazing artists for their next tattoo!

Got my tattoo with Drip (who specializes in Pixel Art). Ended up doing a line tattoo instead, but my experience at the shop was awesome. Very chill vibes and everyone was so nice/chill. It felt like everyone was family here and the many returning customers that were coming in to have nice chats and touch-ups were awesome. I think that speaks volumes about the work here. If you are considering getting new ink, please check this place out!
